Rhonda Routh

Rhonda Routh joined Sterling Associates in 2007 and brings more than 20 years of nonprofit management and fundraising experience to the firm.  She began her development career with the American Heart Association in Houston, where she ultimately served as the Executive Director. In addition to successfully expanding the Heart Association's individual, foundation, and corporate support, she was responsible for board development, corporate relations, volunteer recruitment and management, as well as capital campaign strategy and management. She became noted for her ability to recruit, train, and motivate her development team and gained a unique understanding of the national and local philanthropic marketplace. She subsequently served as an independent fundraising consultant to private schools in the Houston area.

As a Senior Consultant, Rhonda has managed many successful capital campaigns and spearheaded a number of other projects, including fundraising and organizational assessments, feasibility studies, and strategic plans. She currently devotes her time to managing special projects and has a particular affinity for feasibility studies, organizational assessments, and executive coaching.

Rhonda holds a BA with Honors in Speech Communication from Texas A&M University. She and her husband, Carl, have four children and make their home in The Woodlands. Based on her family’s own experience with fighting childhood cancer, she is a strong advocate for increased research funding for children’s cancer treatments and also provides personal support for other families in this crisis.
