Loubel Cruz Galik
Loubel Cruz Galik joined Sterling Associates in January 2013 as a Consultant and is excited to use her versatile and extensive experience to help clients grow and improve their organizations' development needs through capital campaigns, major donor cultivation, special events and strategic planning.
Loubel spent 12 years at Pink Ribbons Project, in motion against breast cancer, serving as a Grants Writer, Education Manager, Associate Director and ultimately as Executive Director for three years. During her time there, Loubel was instrumental in helping triple its annual budget, which allowed Pink Ribbons Project to expand its vision to use the arts to promote breast health and to build outreach initiatives and awareness programs. In 2010, Pink Ribbons Project was recognized for its community giving, receiving the National Philanthropy Day Outstanding Service Organization Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Loubel holds a B.A. in American Studies and Journalism from the University of Notre Dame and a master's degree in Communications from the University of Houston. Loubel continues to be involved with Pink Ribbons Project as part of its Advisory Board. She serves as Volunteer Executive Director of Suites of Hope a local nonprofit that provides affordable housing for breast cancer patients who travel to Houston for treatment in a clinical trial and on the Board of Directors of The Way Home an adoption and placement agency for youth who are in foster care.
Loubel was honored as one of the 2011 Five Outstanding Young Houstonians by the Houston Junior Chamber of Commerce.
Loubel and her husband, Al, live in Rice Military and hope to get a dog (or two) very soon.
