Prospect Research and Wealth Screening

It is difficult for any nonprofit to survive - much less thrive - today without access to detailed, high-quality, current information about current and prospective donors. Yet many nonprofits lack the time or financial resources to subscribe to (and manage effectively) a wide array of information resources.

Sterling Associates subscribes to more than 50 information sources and works diligently to remain at the forefront in donor research and wealth screening. We offer two levels of research to nonprofit organizations.

In Level 1, we provide confidential wealth screening services, evaluating the net worth and major giving capacities of existing and potential donors based on data from numerous up-to-date sources. This service is a highly cost-effective alternative to paying for multiple subscriptions and training staff to use them.
In Level 2, we provide high-level prospect research and donor profiles on a select group of individuals who are most important to your organization. Drawing on an array of sources, we develop a profile of each prospect, summarizing his or her history, interests, affiliations, and giving priorities. This information about a person's propensity to give and networks of influence are vital to effective cultivation and solicitation, particularly for a major donor program or capital campaign.
Whether a nonprofit organization needs information about one individual's giving capacity or data on 50,000 prospects, donor data and research are invaluable and provide any nonprofit with a competitive advantage.
